I’ve always believed that if we can heal men, we can heal the world.

In this episode, I sit down with fellow warrior for men’s mental health, Thulani Grenville-Grey. Thulani is not only a TRC veteran but a man who’s spent years walking alongside other men in some of the toughest, most broken spaces imaginable. Together, we dive into one of the most important and overlooked issues in our society today: the emotional struggle that so many men carry in silence. Having both spent a good part of our lives working with men across the country, we unpack why it’s so hard for men to ask for help, why so many suffer in silence, and what lies beneath their reluctance to express pain and vulnerability.

We also share powerful insights and moving stories from the trenches—moments of breakthrough, honesty, and the kind of healing that happens when men finally feel safe enough to be real.

This is a raw, honest, and at times uncomfortable look into the male psyche—how early wounds shape identity, how culture teaches men to shut down emotions, and how unspoken pain often drives destructive behaviour.

But it’s also a conversation full of hope. Because as we have witnessed, when men are given the space to feel, to speak, and to heal—everything changes. If you’re a man, or you love a man, you need to hear this.
